MyWorld will be accepting EoI applications for places on the Sony VENICE 2 Accredited Operators course taking place in Bristol on Wednesday 27 March and Thursday 28 March for those who:
  • live or work in the Bristol and Bath area only;
  • identify as being from groups which are under represented in the creative technologies industries;
  • have existing skills or experience in filming (eg via current or previous study or industry experience) and wish to learn more and gain accreditation in Sony VENICE 2 operation;
  • would have greatest impact from attending the course.

What you will learn

This course will show you how to become an accredited Sony VENICE 2 Operator. You will learn the function and operation of every control, indicator and connector.  You will also see how all the camera's menus work and how they affect the camera's operation.  You will also learn how to shoot creatively with a VENICE camera and how to work with the recorded files.  For full details of what the course includes please check the detailed contents of the course here.

Who should attend

The course is aimed primarily at anyone wanting to gain a Sony accreditation as a VENICE 2 camera operator. This includes DOPs, chief camera operators, assistant camera operators, focus pullers, and anyone wanting to use a VENICE 2 camera directly, or as part of a camera crew.

Accreditation test

This course is specifically designed for accreditation. It includes an accreditation test. If any delegate attends the course and passes the test, they will be provided a Certificate of Accreditation which proves a good operational understanding of the VENICE 2 camera.   To fully participate in the course, you will need to attend in person in Bristol on both days the course is running, it is not possible to join online.
