MyWorld : Inspiring the next generation about Creative Tech

Year 12 students were enthused and engaged by MyWorld’s Skills and Training team and colleagues from the University of Bristol’s Classics department at the ‘Explore’ week. Three sessions ran over three days allowing students to experience what studying at University would involve by taking part in a variety of subject taster sessions.

Colleagues from the Faculties of Arts and Engineering organised a programme full of activities, offering Year 12 students the opportunity to become immersed in virtual reality. This included the brand-new Virtual Reality Oracle experience developed as part of an interdisciplinary research collaboration.

Talking with young people from a diverse range of backgrounds, each with unique subject interests, initiated an array of engaging conversations about immersive technologies and their many and varied applications.

MyWorld’s Skills and Training team look forward to further engaging with young people including some forthcoming work experience sessions.
