Back in December 2022, Emmy Award winning Michael Pitts gave a talk and workshop, ‘In at the Deep End – capturing drama and detail underwater’.

This seminar was co-sponsored by MyWorld and part of Bristol Vision Institute’s (BVI) Seminar Series, which focuses on particular areas of vision research and takes an interdisciplinary approach. Michael is an underwater cinematographer and film producer with over 30 years experience in making wildlife and science documentaries across the world. His work has appeared in numerous BBC, Discovery Channel and National Geographic productions. In his presentation, Michael took the audience through rainforests, across deserts and into the depths of the world’s oceans providing an insight into how sequences are structured.
