In the 2025/26 academic year, MyWorld are offering thirty Scholarships for home (UK) fee paying students who want to study on a Creative Technology Industries related course which would help with their future and career ambitions in the industry and who are underrepresented in Higher Education. The MyWorld Scholarship scheme will contribute towards tuition fees for students from groups which are underrepresented in Higher Education to study (either full-time or part-time) on a relevant postgraduate taught programme at the University of Bristol, University of Bath, Bath Spa University or University of the West of England (UWE Bristol).
Available funding
- 30 MyWorld Scholarships for postgraduate students entering in the 2025/26 academic year (or continuing on a part-time basis on a course in 2025/26) to contribute towards tuition fees up to £5,000 each. For successful award holders, this will be pro-rata for the amount of credit the student is studying in that academic year, for example if the student is studying for a postgraduate masters degree on a full-time basis, then £5,000 will be paid against their tuition fees as a fee reduction/waiver. If the student is studying part-time, and therefore only undertaking half the amount of credits of a full postgraduate masters in the 2025/26 academic year, then the Scholarship awarded will be £2,500, or if the student is studying for a postgraduate certificate (60 credits) then they will receive £1,666.
- For successful MyWorld Scholarship holders this will be payable in one instalment directly to the University which they are studying at to reduce their tuition fee in 2025/26.
- We expect to award at least five students from each University involved in the scheme (University of Bristol, University of Bath, Bath Spa University or University of the West of England (UWE Bristol)) to receive a MyWorld scholarship, assuming that at least five qualifying applications are received. We expect to award 30 MyWorld scholarships in total, assuming that at least 30 qualifying applications are received.
- Successful awardees already undertaking a two-year or three-year part-time postgraduate programme are welcome to re-apply for the scholarship in the second/third year of their study, but they will be assessed in the same way as everyone else applying in the 2025/26 academic year.
- Please note that this will be our last year (2025-26) of awarding the MyWorld Scholarships. Therefore, any part-time postgraduate students studying their first year in 2025/26 need to be aware that the scheme will not be available for application in the second or third year of their part-time programme.

This will be payable in one instalment to the University which they are studying at, they will not receive any Scholarship money directly.
- They will be liable to pay any remaining tuition fees due after the fee deduction has been applied.
Change of circumstances
Suspension
- If you suspend your studies, it may be necessary to adjust the level of MyWorld Scholarship fee waiver paid in line with any adjustments to the tuition fee for the academic year 2025/26.
- If you restart your studies the following year (or any year after 2025/26), any balance of fee waiver not paid in the first year (2025/26) will not be available to take in your following year of study as the MyWorld Scholarship scheme will have closed.
Deferral
- The award is for the 2025/26 academic year only.
- If, after being awarded the fee waiver, you decide to defer your studies to 2026/27, your MyWorld Scholarship fee waiver award offer will be rescinded and may be redistributed to a reserve candidate who is starting in the 2025/26 academic year as 2025/26 is the last year of the MyWorld Scholarship scheme..
Repeat study
- If you are required to repeat any part of your studies, the fee waiver will not be applied again during the repeat period.
Withdrawal
- If you withdraw from your programme, your tuition fees may be adjusted by the University, depending on when you withdraw.
- If, on withdrawal, your tuition fees are reduced to less than the MyWorld Scholarship, the fee waiver will be reduced to match the fees being charged, meaning you will have no remaining fee liability.
- If, on withdrawal, your tuition fees are reduced from the original fee level but remain greater than your MyWorld Scholarship fee waiver (up to a maximum of £5,000), the full fee waiver awarded will remain in place. However, you will be liable to pay any remaining tuition fees over the value of your fee waiver.
Reserve applicants
To ensure that all available funding is distributed, the Panel will select a number of students to be on a reserve list. Such applicants will be notified accordingly. Students on the reserve list may be contacted at a later date to be informed that they have been offered an award should funding become available. Being placed on the reserve list is not a guarantee of an award.
