On Tuesday 26 April MyWorld in collaboration with Digital Catapult marked the launch of the first funding opportunity from the programme, a Collaborative Research and Development (CR&D) Call.
The event was a sell-out with over 100 attendees across research communities and industries in the creative technology sector, all coming together to celebrate the vibrant CreaTech and media production industry.
The event provided an opportunity to network, better understand the programme’s funding opportunities as well as gain an insight into MyWorld’s vision for cementing the West of England’s position in the global creative technology industry.

There was an exhilarating buzz as we all enjoyed meeting in person for the first time in months, and a broad range of speakers, including MyWorld partner CAMERA, and local business Motion Impossible illustrated how industry and universities have collaborated to deliver cutting edge projects.
Mark Leaver who is leading the Impact and Business Development work stream, hosted a lively panel discussion which addressed some of the upcoming industry challenges. The whole event can be watched via the event recording below.
It was amazing to see everyone together again and buzzing with excitement. I am looking forward to supporting academics and businesses form collaborative research partnerships that will drive innovation in creative technologies
